The Waitakere City Orchestra, founded by Brigid Ursula Bisley in 2003 is a registered Charitable Trust governed by a Board of Trustees elected annually. The Orchestra's Patron is Bob Harvey - Mayor of Waitakere City
Our mission:
* To be inclusive and accessible to the wider Waitakere City community by providing diverse programming that has broad interest and appeal.
* To showcase the talents of the many musicians, both professional and amateurs that reside in the region;
* To provide a mentoring environment for students and amateur musicians alike.
* To be a high quality orchestra that provides the community with live performance of excellence and innovation and to generate increased music making in the community
Our Venue:
The majority of our concerts are held at the Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre, Glendale Road, Glen Eden .
